What We Believe
Christianity isn't just about "religion" or "churchy" things. It's not all about getting up early on a Sunday morning and singing a bunch of songs, while chanting some posh words. No - it's nothing like that at all when you understand what we believe, it's sooooo much more!
As Christians, we believe in a God who created us and a God who is reaching out today to walk life's path with us all, and we believe he does this through his son Jesus Christ.
God is loving, and cares for each one of us - we know this because we love him back, we worship him and thank him for his gift of life through prayer, music and living our lives in a way which glorifies him.
Being a Christian is not always easy, we try our best to be loving, peaceful, patient, kind, good, faithful, gentle, and self-controlled. Sometimes we make mistakes like the human beings we are, but our God is a forgiving one who is always there to help us and guide us in living a happy and spiritual life, which we think is the best kind of life.
We also believe you can't have a strong relationship with God without help from each other, and that's why Saint Andrew's exists. We are a collection of Christians and we've got a mission to spread love and joy throughout Blackley and the world beyond - take a look!
